Job Summary: Karin’s Florist Delivery Drivers are an extension of our company and represent our services and products during each delivery. Drivers must ensure that each arrangement arrives to its destination on time and complete. Delivery drivers work closely with other staff members to problem solve and assist in the overall provision of customer service. Delivery Drives are assigned a route and orders to deliver daily and most often sill operate a company vehicle which will be driven and properly maintained as specified in the expectations below. Reports to the Delivery Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely deliver floral arrangements and related items to homes, businesses, event venues, and other locations as assigned.
- Provide exceptional customer service by delivering with a friendly attitude and ensuring items are received in perfect condition.
- Review and follow route sheets and delivery schedules; communicate any delays or issues with the Delivery Manager promptly.
- Load and unload floral products with care, ensuring that arrangements are transported securely and presented attractively.
- Maintain delivery vehicles in a clean, organized, and clutter-free condition at all times.
- Follow all safety protocols, including:
- No smoking or texting while operating any Karin’s Florist vehicles.
- Adhering to all traffic and parking regulations.
- Wear the required uniform and comply with the Grooming and Appearance Policy.
- Follow all expectations outline in the Driver Responsibilities List
- Assist with in-store tasks or other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with local roads and neighborhoods
- Ability to lift and carry floral arrangements and packages (up to 50 pounds)
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in wring to expedite and deliver orders properly and locate address by utilizing our computerized ordering system.
- Experience in floral delivery service or other industry is preferred.
Our History
Karin’s Florist was established on October 26, 1956, at 7 Corners Shopping Center, by Bill Dukas and his father-in-law, George Raptis. It was one of the original stores in 7 Corners Mall, which was one of the first regional shopping malls in the U.S. Named after Bill’s first born child and George’s first grandchild, the business opened with only four employees, George & Mary Raptis, Bill Dukas and one driver. Karin’s continued to grow over the years, still preserving its family atmosphere.
In 1995, after 38 years, Karin’s relocated to its present location in Vienna, Virginia. At this point, Bill’s daughter, Maris Angolia, joined the business and now serves as its President and CEO.

The physical size of the store has more than doubled, but most importantly, Karin’s Florist has consistently made outstanding customer service our top priority.

A lot has changed through the years, but one thing has remained the same: Karin’s has kept its roots in Fairfax County, proudly serving the neighborhood it holds dear.
Community Participation
Karin’s Florist is actively involved in the community and participates in many organizations. They are proud members of the Vienna Business Association and Leadership Fairfax.
Maris Angolia, President, currently serves on the Inova Foundation Board. Mrs. Angolia has also served on the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts Associates Board and the 2015 World Police and Fire Games Board of Directors as well as the Inova Gala Executive Committee. Maris Angolia is a 2018 Washington Business Journal Women Who Means Business honoree and she was the 2018 Profiles in Success Award winner.
